Norma Kamali Does Organic to a Tee

I made a nice little discovery at Walmart while there to return something -- The Norma Kamali line. I've perused the clothes there, and mostly I wound up buying Danskin for working out and the occasional piece here and there for work. I spend most of my money on nonwork wear, go figure. I know her things as being form-fitted, sculptural, sexy and comfortable. She's now joined the ranks of other high-end designers and created an affordable Walmart line that is casual, modern, comfortable and AFFORDABLE.

I bought the Organic Cotton Bird Tee up top, Hooded Elbow-Sleeve Tunic Sweatshirt in black and Capri Leggings in grey. I was happy with them all. The cotton has substance, is soft, the pieces are well made and the fit is true and flattering. The bird tee is also made of organic cotton, which pleased me even more. My sis saw me wearing it this morning and has already gone and bought herself one.
Here's a pic of me with the tee on in medium. I'm actually looking forward to venturing into more of her line. I think ladies are catching on because sizes were limited in my local store. Shop at Wal-Mart online for the Norma Kamali line. Shipping is only 97 cents. The tee was $8, tunic $6 and leggings $10. How can you say no to prices like that. Splurge on the accessories like me. ;)

Four Fresh Dresses at New York and Company

Fresh new dresses I found at New York & Company. I am a new fan of their clothing. They're great for work, not too trendy and most of their things are washable. Yay!

Sex & The City Alternate Ending Clip

I've always wondered how snips of videos like this one leaks out. I think it's all part of a bigger picture, and it's done intentionally by the movie peeps themselves to create a buzz. Here's an alternate ending for Sex & The City when Samantha had chemo hair -- or lack of. It's kind of weird, and no wonder it never made it to the screen.

Dropped In On Shopbop Today

I haven't blogged in a while, so I thought I'd just drop in at shopbop.com to see what was new. These long dresses by Mara Hoffman caught my eye. It was quite a treat to see, especially with all this dreary weather we've been having lately. Ethnic, earthy and interesting. Lovely things to look forward to this spring.

Crisp and quirky. I love the kind of faded retro vibe of this Marc Jacobs dress and blazer. You can do no wrong going feminine or tomboy in these.

From flat to high to even higher. Keep an eye open for sexy and sassy strappy neutrals as a hot choice in footwear this spring. I am forever a fan of this shoe color because of its leg-slimming effect. (shoe on left, middle by Loeffler Randall. Tall gladiator by Ash)

Early Bird Gets the Boot

Corso Como 'Sasha' Boot

Nordys has a great shoe sale going on, and being of the common size 7, I had to take the leap. I have a biker boot that has become too biker booty for me, so the Corso Como 'Sasha' is the perfect refined replacement.
The North Face 'NSE Tent Mule' Slipper (Women)

My feet are always cold, and especially with the wet weather we're having right now. The North Face 'NSE Tent Mule' is light, warm and soft enough to stay on my feet even if they're curled up under me.

This Nordys purchase is so indicative of my practical and not so practical nature. Check out their shoe sale before your size runs out.
